Axiom Connected is partnering with Smartcar to provide precise vehicle data to providers of automotive warranty and protection products to offer fully digital warranty, maintenance, and ancillary coverage products to vehicle owners. Smartcar’s API technology will integrate with Axiom Connected’s digital warranty platforms to retrieve and monitor crucial vehicle data with the car owner’s consent.
In years past, it has been difficult to accurately retrieve and monitor vehicle data in the automotive warranty industry. Traditional methods require inconvenient hardware devices that lack in quality and ability to provide real-time data. Together, Axiom Connected and Smartcar will increase customer engagement, enhance tech integrations, and target missed revenue opportunities throughout the vehicle ownership lifecycle.
Smartcar’s connected car API technology allows warranty providers to connect directly to each vehicle with the owner’s permission. The warranty administrator can then instantly start monitoring the vehicle’s telemetry. Based on the car’s mileage, fuel tank or EV battery level, tire pressure, and engine oil life, the warranty administrator can determine the owner’s current benefits, notify them of upcoming expirations, recalls, potential vehicle issues, and even remind them to schedule maintenance.
“Smartcar is led by world-class leadership, but they are also innovative thinkers pushing their own limits to find better pathways to increase the value of each data solution,” said Axiom Connected CEO and Founder Michael Reth. “We are very excited about this partnership in the vehicle warranty sector. Together, we can bring vehicle OEMs, insurers, TPAs, vehicle assets, smart warranty products, and real-time predictive data to an industry that still, in 2021, looks over its shoulder to measure financial success!”
Axiom Connected is the only company to offer a fully digital platform for vehicle warranties, including monthly subscription product options. Car owners can manage their warranty with an easy-to-use mobile app called COVI. With the COVI app, vehicle owners can view their warranty benefits and contract details, file claims, schedule service appointments, and request roadside assistance all with a push of a button.
“We’re extremely excited to announce our partnership with Axiom Connected,” said Smartcar CEO Sahas Katta. “Smartcar empowers developers to build the future of mobility, and Axiom Connected perfectly exemplifies this spirit of innovation. Axiom Connected enhances the customer experience of the entire vehicle ownership lifecycle. We’re glad that the Smartcar API is the preferred technology to integrate directly with vehicles.”
